Earlier this month, Motorola held a mega launch event in China to announce the Moto Razr 2022, Moto X30 Pro, and Moto S30 Pro. The Lenovo-owned brand recently confirmed that it will be announcing three new Edge series of smartphones on Sept. 8 in the global market, including India. The rumor mill is now speculating on the names of the upcoming Edge-branded smartphones.
The first one appears to be the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, which will be a rebranded version of the Moto X30 Pro. It will have key features like a 144Hz OLED screen, a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, three 200-megapixel cameras on the back, and a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged quickly with 125W or wirelessly with 50W.
A new tweet by tipster Paras Guglani states that the Motorola device codenamed Tundra will debut soon in India. Reports have revealed that the codename belongs to the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, which will be nothing but a rebranded version of the Moto S30 Pro.
The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is expected to arrive with a 6.55-inch P-OLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It may come the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset, up 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and Android 12 OS with MyUI on top. The device is likely to draw power from a 4,400mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging.
For selfies, it may house a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Its rear shell could be fitted with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing unit. For security, it will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
There is no concrete information on the third Edge series phone. It could be the Edge 30 Lite, which is expected to arrive with a 6.28-inch P-OLED FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 695, 64-megapixel triple rear cameras, a 32-megapixel front camera, and a 4,020mAh battery.
