Infinix has started the rollout of the upgrade of three of its recent smartphones from Android 11 to Android 12. The Infinix Zero 5G, Note 11, and Note 12 were launched with Android 11 out of the box and are now getting their first OS upgrade.

While the Infinix Note 11 was launched in 2021, the Note 12 and Zero 5G models entered the market this year. The Android 12 beta upgrade will provide improvements in the user interface and general outlook of the three models. Indeed, Infinix says the rollout is in sync with its commitment to give its customers the most powerful and optimized experience via the update.

The Android 12 upgrade will be done sequentially in batches starting from August 31. Infinix India, in a tweet outlining the update, stated that the rollout will start with the beta version and the stable update will follow thereafter. The OEM says that after the beta, which is available for download for everyone, the optimized version will be available within 30 days. The schedule for the rollout indicates that the Zero 5G will kick off the update on August 31. The Note 11 and Note 12 updates will roll out subsequently within the first week of September.

The Android 12 upgrade will provide security, privacy, and performance improvements for the devices. The latest Android 12 updates for the latest Infinix models could be the precursor for the Android 12 update for older Infinix models. The company, however, remains silent on other models lined up for the Android 12 update.
