Apple is gearing up to unveil its latest iPhone 14 series later this week. However, it seems that alongside the new smartphone lineup, the company will also be finally revealing its second generation of AirPods Pro earbuds as well.

The news arrives from the Power On newsletter from Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman. For those unaware, the Cupertino based giant is set to launch four new iPhone models on September 7. During this major event, the brand is also expected to announced the 10th generation of iPad as well as the new iPad Pro 2022 and the Apple Watch Series 8. But apparently, it appears that the company is also planning on launching the AirPods Pro 2 as well.

Based on what we know so far, the AirPods Pro 2 will feature Active Noise Cancellation similar to its predecessor, and its also rumored to offer a Transparency Mode as well. Furthermore, its rumored that the highly anticipated second generation of AirPods Pro will also feature a major bump in battery life. The original AirPods pro offered more than 24 hours of audio playback and 18 hours of talk time when paired with the charging case.

There have also been rumors of the AirPods Pro 2 dropping the iconic stem design as well. Although, it appears that might not be the case since Apple typically houses the chips and the Active Noise Cancellation feature in the stem itself. However, there might be a smaller charging case that will be capable of emitting sound when the owner uses the Find My application if it gets lost.
