Over the last couple of days, we have covered some reports regarding Vivo working on a next gen foldable smartphone. Now, an online listing has basically confirmed this news, as well as the upcoming foldable device’s name.

Previously, a leak from a known Chinese tipster had claimed that the Chinese brand is working on a new Vivo X Fold+ model. Now, the Google Play Supported Devices list has basically confirmed this moniker. Apart from this list, the device has even been spotted on other certification websites as well, including the likes of GeekBench, 3C Certification, and more. Looking at the Google Play listing, the device is set to carry the V2229A model number, which is identical to the model number spotted on other databases.

The Vivo X Fold+ was spotted on the Google Play Supported Devices List alongside other new smartphones like the Vivo X Note. Unfortunately, this listing does not reveal any other finer details regarding this new foldable phone apart from confirming its model number. Although, this does hint that the smartphone’s launch is just around the corner. We also have previous reports that hints at its specifications. GeekBench listed the device with Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC that will be paired with at least one model that has 12GB of RAM.

The device is also confirmed to run on Android 12 OS out of the box. The Chinese tipster also revealed the camera specifications of the device, which includes a 50 megapixel primary camera, a 12MP portrait shooter with 2x zoom, a 48MP ultra wide angle lens and an 8 megapixel periscope sensor. Other features include a 6.53 inch 120Hz AMOLED external display, an 8.03 inch 120Hz AMOLED primary display, and 4,700mAh battery pack that supports 80W fast charging as well.
