Amazon has unveiled the Kindle 2022. It is the most affordable product in the Kindle lineup. It has arrived as the successor to the Kindle, which debuted in 2019. The older Kindle featured a 167 ppi display and offered 8 GB of storage. The new Kindle has a better display, larger internal storage, a longer battery life, and a universal charging solution. The Amazon Kindle 2022 has a 6-inch front-lit E-ink display with a resolution of 300 ppi, which offers a better reading experience. There is a four-LED setup in the front, which can be adjusted depending on the required amount of light.
Amazon has increased the storage capacity to 16 GB on the Kindle 2022. According to the retailer giant, the Kindle 2022 can last for up to 6 weeks with 30 minutes of daily reading and Wi-Fi turned off. A welcome change on the Kindle 2022 is the inclusion of the USB-C port.
The Kindle 2022 is priced at $99.99 (on Amazon) for the ad-supported variant. The ad-free version costs $119 (Amazon). It is available for pre-order and its sales are set to start on Oct. 12. It can be purchased in Black and Denim (blue) colors. For the Kindle 2022, Amazon offers fabric covers in colors like Black, Rose, Denim, and Dark Emerald.
The Kindle Kids is priced at $119 (Amazon) and comes in black only. It comes with a one-year free subscription to Amazon Kids+ and a two-year guarantee. Buyers also get to choose from protective cover choices such as Space Whale, Unicorn Valley, and Ocean Explorer.
