Honor X40 5G has launched in China today. It arrives as the successor to the Honor X30. The Honor X40 comes with premium specifications like curved display, high refresh rate, virtual RAM, a Snapdragon processor and more. Read on to know what the smartphone offers out of the box.

The Honor X40 5G sports a 6.67-inch OLED display with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout and curved edges. It offers a 2,400 x 1,080-pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits brightness, and 10-bit colour depth. The device is integrated with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The X40 5G come with a circular camera module on the back panel. 

On the imaging front, the Honor X40 5G features dual rear cameras. The setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture paired with a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper. 

Under the hood, the Honor X40 5G is equipped with a Snapdragon 695 processor. It packs up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. There is also 7GB of virtual RAM technology. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 40W fast charging. The Honor X40 5G runs on Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12 OS.

The Honor X40 5G is offered in Colourful Cloud, Mo Yuqing, and Magic Night Black colours. The smartphone starts at RMB 1,499 ($215) for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage configurations are priced at RMB 1,699 (~$243) and RMB 1,999 (~$286) respectively. The 12GB + 256GB option costs RMB 2,299 (~$328).
