There are a few differences between the Chinese model and the global model. Firstly, unlike the Chinese model, the global model doesn’t come with support for the Satellite Connection feature. The other difference is in terms of software, which runs the EMUI 13 based on open source Android, while in China, the phone runs HarmonyOS 3.0.

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro features a 6.74-inch OLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate, over a billion colors, and a screen resolution of 2616 x 1212 pixels. There’s a notch on top of the screen that has a 3D depth-sensing facial unlocking system.

Under the hood, the device comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM. The company is offering two internal storage options to choose from — 256GB and 512GB.

There’s also a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera which also works as a macro camera. It also comes with a telephoto periscope zoom camera with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x hybrid zoom.

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro smartphone, which is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, is powered by a 4,700mAh battery and comes with support for 66W SuperCharge fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
