Intel recently launched its 13th-generation Core processors, codenamed Raptor Lake. And as usual, brands have started announcing new devices equipped with this latest chip. Dell’s Alienware brand has also announced its latest flagship gaming PC, the Alienware Aurora R15, which will feature an Intel Raptor Lake chip.

The Alienware Aurora R15 has been updated with the most recent hardware from Intel and Nvidia. The new machine can be configured with up to an Intel Core i9-13900K, which has 24 cores, 68MB of cache, and up to 5.8GHz boost speeds. The PC will be offered with the recently launched Nvidia GPUs, topping out at the GeForce RTX 4090 with 24GB of GDDDR6X memory. Customers can also opt for the AMD GPUs up to a Radeon RX 6900 XT with 16GB of GDDR6 on their system. The PC will feature up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM at up to 4800MT/s and 6TB of SSD storage (one NVMe and one SATA SSD).

To keep up with the thermal demands of the new hardware, Alienware has further improved the cooling. The machine now comes with a total of five 120mm fans for air intake and exhaust, and liquid-cooled configurations now feature a 240mm radiator. The case itself also has some improvements in design, resulting in 19% more airflow. Alienware claims that the system can run 66% quieter for CPU-intensive tasks, or 9% quieter for tasks focused on the GPU.

The system is powered by an 80 Plus Platinum certified power supply that comes in 750W and 1350W variants, ensuring that the PC can meet the high power demands of the new Intel and Nvidia components.

Pricing & availability

Alienware has stated that the Aurora 15 will be available later this fall. The pricing remains under wraps. However, the flagship PC is expected to be quite expensive.
