Lenovo has released the ThinkRealitty VRX headset essentially designed for the industrial metaverse. The Lenovo ThinkReality VRX is equipped with the Snapdragon XR platform and has a small form factor. It also features pancake-style optics and mixed reality full functionality. The new VR headset is a high-quality, secure enterprise metaverse channel with multiple functions. The headset provides a full complement of end-to-end enterprise services to users.
The Lenovo ThinkReality VRX can be used as a stand-alone gadget or it could be plugged into a PC/workstation. It supports cloud-based rendering solutions including NVIDIA CloudXR. The headset can deliver premium GPU-based performance with a great user experience. The VR headset has four front-facing cameras that provide up to six degrees of freedom for viewing content. Lenovo is collaborating with enterprise software vendors to have a presence in the Metaverse to showcase its lineup of products and solutions. It also provides a platform for partnership and collaboration with its customers. The suite includes consulting, cloud deployment, content creation, and customer support.
The Lenovo ThinkReality VRX headset is expected to be available early next year. However, the device will be available for early access to a selection of Lenovo’s partners later this year. There are still a few key details lacking for the ThinkReality VRX headset. Pricing and global availability details have not been released yet.
