After teasing for days, Motorola has officially launched the Moto G72 in India. The latest phone from the Lenovo-owned brand comes with a high megapixel camera, high refresh rate OLED display, and a massive battery. 

Interestingly, the 4G-only budget smartphone shares its design with the premium Edge 30 series. Let’s take a look at everything it has to offer.

The Moto G72 is built around a 6.6-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) resolution, 10-bit color depth, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The centered punch-hole screen offers support for HDR10, DCI-P3 color gamut, and up to 576Hz touch sampling rate (software-based). It also features a fingerprint sensor underneath it.

The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and uMCP storage. It boots Android 12 with Motorola’s My UX skin. The company promises a single Android update and three years of security updates.

The handset arrives with a triple camera system consisting of a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. It sports a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls on the front.

The IP52-rated phone houses a 5,000mAh battery that carries support for 33W fast wired charging. It also arrives with Dolby Atmos-supported dual stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The connectivity options on the Moto G72 include dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, NFC, and USB Type-C. Last but not least, it measures 160.5 x 74.4 x 7.9mm in dimensions and weighs 166g.

The Motorola Moto G72 is priced at ₹18,999 for a sole 6GB + 128GB memory configuration. It can be availed in either Meteorite Grey or Polar Blue color options.

The smartphone will be available for purchase starting at 12 PM on October 12 on Flipkart. It will be also sold via partner retail stores across the country.
