Last year in July, Google unveiled the Pixel Buds A with some interesting features and an affordable price tag. The TWS earbuds were initially launched in two color options— Clearly White and Dark Olive. Now, the search giant has quietly released the Pixel Buds A in a third color, called Charcoal.

Alongside the Pixel 7, 7 Pro, and Pixel Watch, Google also introduced a new Charcoal color option for the Pixel Buds A. They are priced at $99 and carry specs the same as the Clearly White and Dark Olive versions. The Charcoal Pixel Buds A-Series can be pre-ordered from the Google Store in countries including the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain, and more.

Pixel Buds A new color

As mentioned, the Pixel Buds A was launched last year in July. They debuted as an affordable version of the Pixel Buds earbuds that Google introduced in 2019. Pixel Buds A comes with custom 12mm dynamic drivers that are claimed to deliver clear and natural sounds. The earbuds also offer a Bass Boost mode that focuses on the low tones. In addition, they also come with Adaptive Sound, which automatically raises or decreases volume levels based on ambient noise.

The earbuds come with an IPX4-rated sweat- and water-resistant build. For connectivity, they use Bluetooth v5.0 and also offer real-time translation in more than 40 languages when used with a smartphone running Android 6.0 or later. The earphones also come with beamforming mics to focus on the user’s voice and reduce background noise during calls.

Pixel Buds A can last for up to five hours on a single charge and an additional 24 hours when combined with the charging case. Users can get up to three hours of playback time with just 15 minutes of charging, says Google.
