iQOO is expected to launch a new mid-range smartphone sometime in October called the iQOO Neo 7. The device will succeed the company’s popular iQOO Neo 6.

Weibo tipster @大白哥 (via ITHome) has shared information regarding the launch date of the upcoming device. According to the report, the iQOO Neo 7 will likely launch in China on 20th-21st October. Some specs of the upcoming device have already leaked.

The standout feature of the Neo 7 will be the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+. This chipset is based on TSMC’s cutting-edge 4nm process and uses a Cortex-X2 core, three Cortex-A710 cores, and four Cortex-A510 cores. It also has a Mali-G710 MC10 GPU onboard.

The Pro variant of the device is said to have a 2K E6 AMOLED flat display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. We expect to see the device with a 5,000mAh battery paired with 120W fast charging support. On the base variant, the display is rumored to be a 6.78 inch 1080p AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the fast charging is expected to be limited to 67W.

The Neo 7 is said to come with a triple camera unit on the back made up of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V image sensor teaming up with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel portrait telephoto lens.
