Honor debuted the Honor X40 in September. Within a month, the brand is now gearing up to release yet another X series smartphone.
The upcoming device is called Honor X40 GT. As the name suggests, it is targeted at gamers.
The phone is scheduled to launch later this week. Let’s take a look at what the official teasers and leaks have to say about it.
The Hono X40 GT is set to launch on October 13. The conference will begin at 7:30 PM GMT+8. It will be live-streamed on Weibo and other popular Chinese video streaming platforms.
The handset’s chipset and design have been officially revealed. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It is said to offer an average frame rate of 115.07 fps, 89.71 fps, and 56.33 fps for MOBA, regular mobile, and RPG game titles, respectively.
As per the official renders and leaked live images, the HonorX40 GT’s design will be based on Honor X40. This means It will feature the iconic circular camera ring, however, the color scheme will be different. It will arrive in a black carbon-like color option with a green accent.
The front of the smartphone will be occupied by a centered punch-hole display. Digital Chat Station says that the screen will be LCD and not OLED like on the vanilla model.
The display may have at least a 120Hz refresh rate. Finally, as per 3C, the phone will support 66W fast wired charging.
