Oppo launched the Reno 8 earlier this year, and the company is now reportedly working on the next-generation Reno 9 smartphone. Various leaks and rumors have already revealed the specifications as well as the retail box of the handset. A recent leak also gave us a glimpse at the smartphone’s camera array design. Now, in the latest development, alleged live images of the OPPO Reno 9 have surfaced online, which reveal its design and appearance. Here are the details.

Popular Chinese tipster Panda recently shared the possible live image of OPPO Reno 9 on Weibo (via @ZionsAnvin). The tipster later deleted the images, but we managed to get hold of them.

As can be seen in the images, the device’s camera module matches the previously leaked image. Design-wise, the device looks pretty similar to the last-generation model. It has a camera with two large and one small cutouts, as well as a ring-shaped LED flash. The handset also has an additional flash, which will likely have a different color temperature. On the front, it has a center-punched hole housing the selfie camera.

Previous reports suggest that the device may come with a 64MP primary sensor. It will likely be equipped with the Snapdragon 778G chipset. While the Pro model may come with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset. It is also said to feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor for the primary camera. Both devices could feature 4,500mAh capacity batteries.

Details about the Reno 9 are still short. It is reported to debut in China in Q4 this year. OPPO is yet to confirm any details about the upcoming series. We hope to learn more in the coming days. Meanwhile, you can check out our OPPO Enco Buds 2 review.
