Back in August, OnePlus started the OxygenOS 13 closed beta program for the OnePlus 8 series. Now, after months of closed testing with a limited number of users, the company has finally opened the Android 13-based software for public testing in India. Users of the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and 8T can now try out the OxygenOS 13 on their devices.

According to the official announcement, OxygenOS 13 Open Beta program is now live for the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T users. The program is currently limited to Indian users, but the company should extend it to more regions in the coming weeks.

If you wish to get the latest beta update successfully, make sure that your device is in the latest OxygenOS 12 version (C.35). Also note that this is beta software and is not as stable as the official OTAs.

Some of the known issues on the OnePlus 8 series include an abnormal charging prompt under screen lock, the inability to send video below 300K resolution recorded by the camera via MMS, and more function icons in the editing interface of the control center displayed incorrectly.
