Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo S16 series of smartphones. As the moniker indicates, it will arrive as a successor to the Vivo S15 lineup, which debuted earlier this year. Details on the processor and color variants of the Vivo S16 series.

A Chinese tipster recently claimed that the Vivo X90 series launch would be the next major event from Vivo. It is expected to go official in December this year. The tipster also said that the Vivo S16 lineup will not be released this year, which indicates that it may debut in Q1 2023.

The same tipster has now speculated that the next S-series lineup will include three models, such as the Vivo S16e, S16, and S16 Pro. The tipster speculated that these devices may come equipped with the Dimensity 1080, Snapdragon 870, and the upcoming Dimensity 8200v chipset. The Pro model is also expected to arrive with the Vivo V1+ ISP.

According to tipster Panda is Bald, the Vivo S6 will come in black, blue, and purple colors. The Vivo S16 Pro, on the other hand, will be made available in black, green, and orange gold shades. Unfortunately, there is no information on the other specifications of the Vivo S16 trio.

To recall, the Vivo S15 came with a 6.62-inch display, while the S15 Pro featured a 6.56-inch screen. Both support an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones have a 32-megapixel front camera and pack a 4,500mAh battery. The S15 supports 66W charging, while the S15 Pro offers 80W charging.

The S15 and S15 Pro are powered by the Snapdragon 870 and Dimensity 8100 SoCs, respectively. The S15 has a 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. On the other hand, the S15 Pro has a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel depth sensor.
