Redmi finally confirmed today that the Note 12 series will be launched on October 27 in its home country, China. The lineup is expected to include four smartphones— Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and the Note 12 Pro Ultra. Now, just days ahead of the launch, some new information about the Pro phone, likely the Note 12 Pro+, has surfaced online. And the company itself has revealed some camera specifications of the device. Here are the details.

A leaked product banner shared by a Twitter user shows a Redmi Note 12 phone, likely the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ with a curved display. We can expect the panel to be AMOLED. Further, Redmi recently posted a teaser on its official Weibo handle, revealing the Redmi Note 12 Pro phones will come with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, with a 1/1.56″ outsole, and 2μm fusion large pixels. It will also have OIS (optical image stabilization).

The company says the Note 12 Pro will make use of Xiaomi’s self-developed imaging technology and will offer better image quality optimization, improved speed, as well as intent recognition. The handset is claimed to have better imaging styles and more advanced features.

The Redmi Note 12 series is said to feature an AMOLED display and support for a high refresh rate. The Pro phones in the series are expected to be powered by the Dimensity 1080 chipset. This processor has an octa-core CPU architecture design, including two Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, with Arm Mali-G68 GPU.

The Redmi Note 12 could support 67W charging, while the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ may feature 120W and 210W fast charging, respectively. Rumors suggest the lineup will be released by Q1 2023 in the global market.
