Segway Ninebot recently announced a number of new products in China, including a new electric scooter. The scooter is dubbed Ninebot UiFi Electric Scooter and is said to be the brand’s first electric scooter that conforms with China’s e-scooter regulatory standard and can thus, be registered. The e-scooter carries a price tag of 2,999 yuan ($418) but had got a 1000 yuan limited-time price slash bringing down the price to 1,999 yuan ($278).

Compared to other brands of scooters in this range, the Ninebot UiFi Electric Scooter is larger in size. The size variation is due to the larger battery compartment at the bottom and the addition of a seat. The seat offers riders a more comfortable and less stressful riding experience. The overall shape is almost similar to the normal electric kick scooter.

The Ninebot UiFi is only 1.2m long and adopts a low-seat design. The height of 680mm is suitable for most user groups. The weight of the entire scooter is only 33kg, making it easier to push and move.

Furthermore, the UiFi e-scooter can be locked and unlocked via a mobile phone, wristband, and NFC. The electric scooter can also be unlocked through the app or password.

In terms of battery life, the Ninebot UiFi electric scooter has a typical battery life of 45km and a battery life of 37km under working conditions. It has a three-speed power adjustment, and the maximum speed can reach 32km/h. There is also one-button cruise control, e-ABS, and other configurations to improve riding safety.
