Recent reports have claimed that OPPO is working on the OPPO A98, which will debut as its most advanced A-series phone. A new OPPO smartphone with the model number PHQ110 has been spotted in the database of China’s TENAA certification body (via. TechGoing). It seems that the PHQ110 could be the rumored OPPO A98, which is expected to launch in November in China.

The images of the alleged OPPO A98 are in line with the leaks surrounding it. The device has a punch-hole display with curved edges. The display design hints that it could be fitted with an AMOLED panel, which suggests that it might also have a fingerprint scanner built into the screen.

Moving to the back, the device has two camera rings. The top seems to house the primary camera, while the other appears to be packed with another camera and an LED flash.

OPPO A98 specifications

Previous reports have claimed that the OPPO A98 will offer a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2160Hz PWM dimming. It is expected to offer a high screen-to-body ratio as it said to be equipped with a super-slim 3.3x mm chin. While there is no word on the front camera of the device, it is said to be fitted with a 108-megapixel primary camera on the back.

The OPPO A98 is likely to feature the Snapdragon 778G mobile platform. The device will probably offer up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. It may come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 67W rapid charging support.

The publication has spotted another OPPO phone with PGW110 in the database of the 3C certification platform. It looks like a Reno 9 series phone since the device has been seen with an 80W fast charger.
