Sony has just unveiled the new LYTIA branding that will represent its mobile image sensors in the market. The announcement was made by the Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation (SSS) recently, which will focus on all future camera sensors.

So now, the Japanese tech giant’s new sensors will carry the LYTIA branding and will also be promoted and marketed under the same name. Notably, the LYTIA brand name combines two words, which includes Lyra (the constellation) and the word “light.” The company has claimed that the new LYTIA branded image sensors are designed to offer a “beyond imagination” experience to the users.

The brand also believes that LYTIA will make it easier for people to understand the sensors themselves. Furthermore, Sony’s image sensors will be better recognized and positioned in the smartphone market thanks to the new branding. At the moment, the company has yet to reveal any finer details regarding LYTIA’s future or upcoming plans. So the only thing confirmed as of right now is that it will focus on new mobile image sensors.

The company had typically launched its mobile image sensors under its “IMX” branding, which are still featured in flagship smartphones. But now, we can expect there will be some changes in naming in the near future for Sony’s latest cameras. So stick around for more updates regarding this matter.
