In August 2022, OPPO unveiled the ColorOS 13, based on Android 13. To date, many devices like the OPPO Find X5 series and the Reno 8 series have received stable updates of the ColorOS 13. Now, the brand has begun the rollout of Android 13 on its foldable smartphone, the OPPO Find N.

According to the official post, the update arrives with version number F.22. To get this update, users will need to have their devices at the basic version A.22 or A.24 or above. You can check if you have the device on the required version by navigating to Settings > About This Machine > Version Information > Version Number.

OPPO has included a note that mentions some key points to keep in mind before updating to the latest ColorOS 13.

Firstly, there are some third-party applications that are incompatible with Android 13. After upgrading to Android 13, there may be situations where third-party applications cannot be used normally and might cause freezing, a blank screen, display flashing, or battery drain. The store will try to update these apps to the latest versions.

Also, the brand also mentions that within two days of the upgrade, the system will undergo a number of adaptation and optimization steps that could result in the phone getting hot, freezing, or consuming a lot of power. After the upgrade, it is advised to restart the phone with the screen off and let it charge for two hours; otherwise, it may recover on its own after some time of regular use.
