ASUS has a lineup of popular smartphones in the form of the Zenfone series, and the company also has a sub-brand named ASUS ROG which is well-known for making high-end and premium gaming smartphones. Now, both these brands have announced their plans for major software updates for their smartphones.

Both the companies, ASUS and its subbrand ASUS ROG have revealed the Android 13 update rollout plan for their smartphones, which is set to commence next month, i.e. December 2022.

As per the information shared by ASUS on its social media profiles, the Zenfone 9 will be the first smartphone to get the latest Android 13 update in December 2022, followed by Zenfone 8, which will get the update in January 2023.

On the other hand, the ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate, as well as the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro, will be getting an Android 13-based software update sometime in the first quarter of 2023, which means between January 2023 and March 2023.

The ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 5S series will get the new Android 13 update sometime in the second quarter of 2023, which means between the months of April and June. We expect the company to reveal a more specific timeframe for the updates in the coming months.

The company has also added that the actual timeframe for the update rollout may differ based on regions and conditions. We expect the phones to get an updated version of the custom user interface when they get the Android 13 update. ASUS phones come with the company’s Zen UI, while the ROG phones run the ROG UI on top of Android.
