Vivo is expected to soon unveil its flagship X90 series of smartphones in the Chinese market. On the other hand, the Indian division of the brand is apparently working on introducing a new entry-level smartphone called the Vivo Y02. The device is reportedly quite budget friendly and is expected to launch very soon.

The report comes from PassionateGeekz, revealing that the smartphone has the model number V2217. It also claims that the device will cost Rs 8,449 in the country. Let’s take a look at the expected spec sheet of the Vivo Y02.
Going by the specs revealed in the report, the Vivo Y02 will feature a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC under the hood. The RAM capacity will be at least 2GB. Although not mentioned in the report, we can anticipate that the phone will have at least 32GB of internal storage. A microSD card will also be supported for storage expansion. Vivo might support microSD cards with capacities of up to 256GB or 512GB for external storage.
A 5000mAh battery is also claimed to be included in the device. It might come with support for 5W or 10W fast charging. The display is said to be a 6.51-inch Halo FullView IPS LCD with 1600 x 720-pixel HD+ resolution. The phone, according to Guglani, will have a 20:9 aspect ratio and an Eye Protection Mode. The phone will have two SIM card slots.
The back of the device will have a single 8MP rear camera sensor and an LED flash module. Additionally, there will also be a 5MP front camera sensor. Last but not least, the phone will ship with Funtouch OS 12, an Android 12-based operating system, out of the box.
