Earlier this month, Samsung rolled out a stable One UI 5 update to the flagship Galaxy S20 series, but the affordable Galaxy S20 FE wasn’t part of the rollout. Now, the fan edition smartphone is finally receiving One UI 5 update based on Android 13. The update is currently seeding in Europe and Russia. Separately, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is receiving One UI 4.1.1 based on the tablet-optimized Android 12L in India. Here are the details.

As reported by SamMobile, the One UI 5 update, for the Galaxy S20 FE is currently rolling out to users in Russia with firmware version G780FXXUAEVK3. It will likely reach other regions in a few days. As of writing this, the update is only available for the 4G Exynos variant of the device with model SM-G780F. Other variants should receive the software shortly.

We don’t have access to the changelog of the update but, just like One UI 5 releases for other Samsung flagship devices, the Galaxy S20 FE update should include all the new features introduced by Google in Android 13, a few Samsung-exclusive features, and Android security patches for November 2022.

Moving to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, it is receiving the One UI 4.1.1 update based on the tablet-first OS Android 12L. The update is rolling out to users in India with firmware version P619XXU1AVJ2. This update does not include the November security patch, but rather the September patch. As of right now, the update is only available for the LTE-equipped model, while the Wi-Fi-only version will follow soon.

Android 12L comes with a redesigned multi-tasking experience with a taskbar and resizable windows. Two-finger swipe gestures will also be available to switch between multitasking view and full-screen mode.
