Aidea has announced a new electric cargo scooter, the AA-Wiz with an ultra-practical design and decent improvements from its larger sibling, the AA-Cargo. The AA-Wiz is a two-wheeler that can cater to urban cargo deliveries with its longer multiple cargo compartments and a riding range of 123km.

The new Aidea electric cargo scooter is a transformed version of the pretty-successful AA-Cargo. It maintains the same platform as its predecessor but Aidea has omitted the bulkier design of the AA-Cargo while maintaining the platform. This has expanded the customer base for the e-scooter. The AA-Wiz is designed by Italian designer Claudio Zanchini and features integrated luggage compartments at the front and rear. It retains the same electric powertrain as the AA-Cargo consisting of a rear hub-driven electric motor and a 3.85kWh lithium-ion battery.

Due to its lightweight design, the AA-Wiz has a longer range than the AA-Cargo and it can achieve up to 123km on a single charge. This is 34km higher than the AA-Cargo’s range of 89km. The electric cargo scooter is equipped with front and rear disc brakes, full LED lights, and a large digital LCD screen. It also has a 200V/100V charging system for home use and an adaptor for compatibility with EV chargers. There is also a built-in USB port for charging your devices.

The pro version features an additional front basket cargo space. The three models will arrive in the Japanese market in the Spring and there are no global availability details yet.
