Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has launched a new robot vacuum under the MIJIA brand. The product is the MIJIA Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro and it is not to be confused with the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro that was launched in India earlier this year. The Indian model is an iteration of the MIJIA Robot Vacuum Pro, the predecessor of this model. This new model packs an array of new features that makes it a worthy upgrade of its predecessor. The new robot vacuum cleaner is priced at 2,799 yuan ($402 and is presently on pre-sale in China. The product will go on sale from December 12.

The MIJIA Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro has a dual-line laser perception obstacle avoidance function, which can accurately identify the outline of obstacles and can also reduce collisions in dark light environments. At the same time, it supports intelligent laser navigation, 360° scanning of the indoor environment, rapid construction of maps, precise route planning, and one-click generation of 3D maps in the MIJIA app to restore the structure of the apartment.

In terms of cleaning, this robot supports automatic loading and unloading, without complicated operations such as changing water and pouring water. It also supports functions such as automatic washing of rags, 2-hour hot air drying, and automatic addition of detergent for sterilization.
