A couple of months back, Lenovo launched the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 30th Anniversary Edition to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the ThinkPad brand being established. The laptop was available in select global markets like the US, Japan, etc., in limited numbers.

Now, Lenovo is finally gearing up to launch the special edition notebook in China. Like other regions, the company will be selling this laptop in limited quantities in China. Users who already own the 25th anniversary commemorative model qualify to obtain the 30th-anniversary model in the first batch by providing the SN code.

In terms of specifications, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 30 comes with a 14-inch 4K 500 nits brightness screen, a 12-generation Intel Core i7 1260p processor, 32GB of 5200 MHz high-speed memory, a 1TB PCle4.0 NVMe solid storage drive, and other options. It also has an FHD+RGM webcam that offers infrared face recognition functionality.

In addition, the packing box for the 30th anniversary unit integrates the idea of environmental conservation and is entirely created from bamboo and sugarcane fibers, both of which are instantly renewable and compostable. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon 30th Anniversary Edition has a top cover made of carbon fiber, and the three fundamental colors of red, green, and blue are used in the logo. The 30th-anniversary model also includes a limited-edition RGB three-color TrackPoint replacement cap, and the commemorative machine’s unique number is inscribed on the right hinge.

The price of the device has not been disclosed for the Chinese market yet. Although the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 30th Anniversary Edition costs $4,170 in the US for the above-mentioned configuration.
