Nokia recently confirmed that five smartphones— Nokia XR20 5G, Nokia G50 5G, Nokia G11 Plus, Nokia X20 5G, and Nokia X10 5G— will soon receive an Android 13 update. True to its words, the HMD Global-owned company has now started rolling out the latest Android OS to the low-end Nokia X10 and X20 smartphones. Here are the details.

The Android 13 update for Nokia X10 is rolling out with the firmware version V3.270, and the Nokia X20 is receiving the update with build number V3.360. The update brings November’s security patch and plenty of new features with itself. As usual, the software is rolling out in a phased manner and it might take some time before it reaches every user.

If you own the above-mentioned devices, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings, selecting Software Update, and tapping “Download and install.” The software comes with a 2.34GB size, so it might be a good idea to install it over Wi-Fi.

The changelog reveals the update brings all the major features Google announced with the Android 13. It will come with interesting visual changes, including theme support for icons. Privacy and security are also improved with notification permissions for each new app.

In addition, there are multimedia controls in the notification shade and Photo Picker, which allows you to share selected photos with apps instead of giving them access to all of your photos.

Nokia may soon roll out the Android 13 update to the Nokia XR20 5G, Nokia G50 5G, and Nokia G11 Plus as well. The smartphones were recently spotted on Google’s validated OS list with Android 13 as one of the validated OS versions.
