After the initial delay, iQOO has finally launched the iQOO 11 series of flagship smartphones in its domestic Chinese market. The series consists of two models – the iQOO 11 and the iQOO 11 Pro. Both of these devices feature the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset along with a bunch of top-of-the-line hardware. So, let’s take a look at the devices in more detail.
iQOO 11 and iQOO 11 Pro specs & features
Both phones use the identical 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED display, which supports a 144Hz refresh rate and has a 2K resolution. The key distinction is that the vanilla model’s display is flat, while the 11 Pro 5G’s screen is curved. The front camera has a hole-punch cutout in the upper center. The device also has 1440Hz PWM dimming and HDR10+ certification.
Both phones have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC onboard, coupled with quad-channel LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Both of the devices offer a virtual RAM expansion feature of up to 8GB. Additionally, they include the brand-new V2 customized Image Signal Processor (ISP) created by Vivo. The custom ISP is said to provide improved performance when taking portrait photos or filming videos in low light. Both phones include a triple-camera configuration on the back; however, the sensors onboard are different.
A 50MP Sony IMX866 primary camera sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 150-degree fisheye lens, and a 13MP portrait-telephoto camera are all included in the iQOO 11 Pro 5G. The iQOO 11 5G on the other hand, features three cameras: a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 13MP telephoto sensor with a 2x optical zoom. Both smartphones’ main camera sensors are capable of optical image stabilization (OIS). A 16MP front camera is standard on both phones.
The iQOO 11 comes with a 5000mAh battery and 120W fast charging capabilities. A smaller 4700mAh battery powers the 11 Pro 5G, however, it supports 200W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The latest Android 13 operating system is preinstalled on both devices, with iQOO’s Origin OS Forest layered on top.
