A couple of weeks back, Vivo debuted the Vivo X90 series of flagship smartphones in the Chinese market. The series consists of three models in total: the Vivo X90, X90 Pro, and X90 Pro+. These flagship smartphones are expected to debut in markets outside of China soon, as multiple certifications have already hinted.

Vivo X90

Now, the vanilla X90 has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards certification website, confirming that it will launch soon in the sub-continent. The listing reveals that the smartphone has the model number V2218, which is the global model number for the Vivo X90.

Vivo X90 BIS

There is no additional information about the Vivo X90 in the BIS listing. But given that the phone has already been released in China, we anticipate that it will also be released in India with the same hardware.

Vivo X90 Specifications

The device sports a 6.78-inch centered punch-hole 10-bit curved OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels, and a pixel density of 452 PPI. 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and PWM dimming up to 2160Hz are supported by the panel.

The cutting-edge MediaTek Dimenity 9200 chipset powers the smartphone. The SoC is coupled with UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. Additionally, it has a Vivo V2 ISP chip.

Regarding optics, the device has a triple camera arrangement on the back that is powered by Zeiss. The system has a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP 2x telephoto camera. It will have a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The system launches OriginOS 3 on top of Android 13. Dual stereo speakers, an x-axis linear vibration motor, and an IP64 rating are further features. Sadly, it comes with a USB Type-C 2.0 port.

The phone’s 4,810mAh battery is backed by 120W fast wired charging capability, which is the final but not least feature.
