Realme 10 Pro +

Before we get started, I’d like to say that this is a phone you’ve never seen before in the $300 price range, and if you’re looking for a device that’s super light, has a long battery life and a great design, the Realme 10 Pro + is probably one of the best choices.

Realme 10 Pro+

I’ve always liked Realme’s packaging style, it looks very minimalistic with cool typography of the text. This time too we can see a lot of radiating lines on top of a yellow background color. Inside the package, we get a 67-watt Super VOOC charger, a USB-C cable, a soft protective case, and some user manuals.

Design

This is the brand new Realme 10 Pro +, the brand has put a curved display on their digital lineups for the first time, and we see a nice transition between the screen edge and the frame, which makes for a very comfortable holding experience. The Realme 10 Pro + weighs less than 180 grams, and it’s less than 8 mm thick, which is the best weight control I’ve seen this year.

Their secret to reducing weight is to use a plastic center frame and back cover, but the back cover still looks very nice because Realme made some composite textures. When you turn the phone you can see some radial stripes on the upper part of the back cover, and on the lower part of the back cover, we can see some bright shiny particles.

The only thing I can complain about the design is that the back cover is too easy to get fingerprints, so if you want to keep the back cover as clean as new all the time, you’d better use the included protective case.

6.7″ display

Realme 10 Pro + comes with a 6.7-inch edge-curved screen, which is one of its main selling points. We can see that it has a very narrow bezel, which can give you a more immersive visual experience, but most importantly, it supports high-frequency PWM DIMMING. I can say that this will be a must-have feature when buying your next phone, and when you put the Realme 10 Pro + together with a phone with a regular OLED screen, you can see through the camera that the Realme 10 Pro + has less flicker, which can significantly reduce eye strain.

Don’t worry about this technology making some flaws in the display, the screen still has great color, contrast, and brightness. With dual speakers, you can have a very outstanding experience when you watch movies.

Cameras

In terms of photography, Realme 10 Pro + comes with a 108 MP main camera and an 8 MP wide-angle camera, and with the help of HyperShot system, you can get detailed photos both day and night.

Performance

Realme 10 Pro + is powered by the Dimensity 1080 platform, which is not a high-performance flagship platform, but it has very good power efficiency, here are some Benchmarks for your reference.

It can achieve an average frame rate of 59 fps in PUBG, which means it’s good enough if you don’t play those heavy games, and I also tested it in Genshin Impact, where it can achieve an average frame rate of 35 if you adjust the graphic preset to medium, so obviously gaming performance isn’t Realme 10 Pro +’s strength.

Battery & Charge

The Realme 10 Pro + is so light that you can’t imagine it has a 5000mAh battery. Thanks to the Dimensity 1080’s good power efficiency, after two and a half hours of simulated use, it still has a 60% battery, and you can fully charge the phone in less than 50 minutes with the help of 67-watt fast charging.

So this is the Realme 10 Pro +, a budget phone with a flagship design and screen, it really surprised me a lot and I really like its size control and lightweight body, because today’s flagship phones are getting heavier day by day.

The screen is also one of the things that stood out for me about Realme 10 Pro +. No one can ignore those eye injuries when they know that regular OLED screens would make a lot of flickers, so I hope Realme can bring high-frequency PWM DIMMING to all their phones.
