Motorola is gearing up to launch its latest generation of flagship smartphones in the Chinese market soon. The new premium grade handset in question is the Moto X40, which was recently teased by the company, revealing some interesting features and specifications. So let’s have a look.

For those unaware, the company is set to launch the high end device on December 15. Being a next gen flagship, it will feature Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Now, the latest teaser from Motorola has revealed the battery specs of the device and more. Looking at the online teaser, the Moto X40 will arrive with “SUV class” charging. Apparently, the company is claiming that the smartphone is a powerful yet versatile model that will be the perfect match for those with active lifestyles out of the box.

While we had reported on battery specs of this flagship phone, the company has confirmed that the device will be powered by a large 4,600mAh battery pack. This battery will also support up to 125W fast charging support. Apart from the battery teaser, the company also revealed an interesting camera feature for the X40. Motorola will launch the phone with what it is calling a Horizon Lock feature. As the name suggests, it appears that it might be an action camera mode.

This is further backed by the teaser image, which shows the X40 being used to capture a person skiing in the snowy mountains. In other words, the camera mode will take mode photos in portrait mode. While the brand has yet to officially reveal the rear camera setup for the Moto X40, it is expected to feature a triple camera setup, with a 50 megapixel primary sensor that will be paired with a 50 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 12 megapixel telephoto shooter that offers 2x optical zoom as well.
