Zinc Formula E

Formula E has carved a niche for itself with its lineup of race-oriented electric vehicles. Its partnership with Zinc Sports is aimed at delivering less speed but greater comfort reflected in the GZ1.

The Zinc Formula E GZ1 is a lightweight city cruiser with a 20km range and a top speed of 25km/h. It is equipped with a 250W electric motor and its in-built gyroscopic system helps to regulate the speed and absorb shocks while on bumpy terrains. The gyroscope thus provides a more stable riding experience which is quite comfortable. The scooter has 9-inch puncture-proof tires as an added advantage.

The e-scooter has a regeneration system that uses braking or downhill movement to recover some of the expended energy. The Smart Energy Recovery System helps to extend the range of the e-scooter. There are also intelligent lights that are activated under certain riding situations. The turn signal light is automatically activated whenever the rider turns more than 15º. It also has sensors that activate the headlights based as nighttime falls. The standing e-scooter is also foldable which means it can be easily tucked away.

Availability of the GZ1 e-scooter is presently limited to the United Kingdom where it retails for £400 (~$500). It is also expected to enter the US market subsequently where it will retail for $484.
