Lenovo has announced the Lenovo Go 4K Pro webcam with improved features and Microsoft Teams compatibility. The Lenovo Go 4K Pro is equipped with an AI-assisted autofocus system and it can record HDR videos. The new webcam also comes with a physical privacy shutter and will work with IdeaPad and ThinkPad laptops. The physical privacy shutter is used to cover the lens when the webcam is not in use.

The new Lenovo webcam can record 4K videos at a frame rate of 30fps. It is capable of 5x digital zoom and also supports facial recognition. The Lenovo Go 4K Pro also supports M.JPEG, YUY2, and H.264 video compression formats. It is a plug-and-play webcam but when additional software is installed, the full features of the webcam are unlocked. The Lenovo Go Central provides software support to manage its configurations. The webcam also supports auto-framing.

The integration of the Lenovo Go 4K Pro into the Teams architecture means that it could be deployed for video conferencing. Its enhanced video capabilities, coupled with its AI functionality mean that video clarity is assured always.

You can connect the webcam to the PC via its USB port (Type A, Type C). Its design like a hook allows the webcam to nestle atop a monitor. It also has a standard 0.25-inch tripod thread socket. The webcam’s LED indicator is illuminated whenever the device is in use. It is equipped with a single microphone with a 48kHz sampling rate.

Lenovo Go 4K Pro Webcam

The Lenovo Go 4K Pro webcam is compatible with Windows and ChromeOS platforms. Lenovo says the webcam will be released in July 2023 and is priced at €119 (~$126). The company will offer a 3-year warranty on the gadget and it is unclear whether it will be globally available.
