OPPO had previously launched its own imaging chipset for smartphones, known as OPPO Marisilicon. The imaging chipset did make some visible improvements in the terms of photography and videography on the device it used. Now, there’s another news which claims that OPPO is reportedly working on a new self-developed processor for smartphones. The chipset is currently under development it has been said that it will launch next year.

A digital blogger with access to the Taiwanese semiconductor (TSMC) industry chain revealed today that OPPO is currently developing an application processor for smartphones, with a release date of the second quarter of 2023 planned, and the design is nearing completion of the first trial flow.
