Nubia, a smartphone brand from ZTE, has revealed that the company will soon launch a new Z50 model in its home country China, dubbed Nubia Z50 Red Rabbit Limited Edition, to celebrate the 2023 Year of the Rabbit in the Chinese calendar.

While the company has not revealed the smartphone’s launch date and pricing details, reports indicate that this upcoming limited edition model will be more expensive than the regular model that is now up for sale in the market.

The regular Nubia Z50 features a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 10-bit color depth, up to a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1000nits. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

In the camera department, there’s a dual-camera setup on the back that features a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 primary camera sensor with f/1.6 aperture and OIS support and a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN1 sensor with a 116° ultra-wide lens and autofocus support for macro shots. On the front side, the phone features a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The smartphone runs the Android 13 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own MyOS 13 custom interface on top. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.
