The Apple iPhone 15 series is still a while away from an official announcement. However, several months prior there are already various reports circulating about them. Now, the latest rumor hints at some key upgrades in the new iPhone 15 Pro models compared to current gen iPhones.

The news arrives from known analyst Jeff Pu who shared a research note earlier this week. Pu stated that the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max models will come with certain new features. This includes a titanium frame, solid state volume and power buttons, with haptic feedback from two extra Taptic Engines. He also claimed that the higher end Pro models to have higher base RAM as well.

The iPhone 14 Pro series launched with 6GB of RAM, while the iPhone 15 Pro is believed to launch with 8GB of RAM. Furthermore, this is not the first time all three of these features have been rumored. Previously, we had even covered similar reports from ShrimpApplePro and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Jeff Pu stated that the iPhone 15 Pro models will also be powered by the new A17 Bionic chip that will be processed on the 3nm process from TSMC.

Notably, all of the four models in the iPhone 15 series is expected to feature USB Type C port and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X70 model for 5G and LTE connectivity. Pu claims that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will also arrive with a periscope technology for improved optical zoom. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are also believed to feature a 48 megapixel primary rear camera similar to the iPhone 14 Pro models.
