Many OEMs have unveiled laptops and desktops clad with cutting-edge technology at the ongoing CES 2023 event in Las Vegas. Among them, Acer has announced a Chromebox, which is essentially a mini-PC with ChromeOS pre-loaded and an Add-in-One monitor. Let’s talk about the ChromeOS-clad Chromebox first.

Four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and a few USB 4 Gen 3 Type-C input/outputs are included. Additionally, there are two HDMI 2.1 connections, which when combined with the USB-C, may accommodate up to four external monitors.

For quick wireless networking, Intel Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+) technology is installed, and 2.5G Gigabit Ethernet is also available for cable connections.

Additionally, Acer has introduced the Add-In-One 24, which combines a 24-inch Full HD display with a specific dock to accommodate the Chromebox CXI5. This doc makes for a clean setup when integrated with the Chromebox CXI5 mini-PC, leaving more room on your table. The display has a 16:9 ratio and features a variety of I/O ports.

The Add-In-One features a built-in 5MP webcam, two 4W speakers, and AI noise cancellation for video conversations, which might make it a good all-in-one for a busy office environment or even a work-from-home setting. Users can tilt the screen from a range of -5 degrees to 25 degrees, allowing them to select the ideal viewing angle for them. To avoid fiddling with additional devices in the Chromebox, which is made to mount directly to the back of the display, the Add-In-One contains two USB-A ports and an audio jack.
