Samsung has announced the HW-Q990C and HW-S800B Dolby Atmos soundbars. The two premium soundbars come with Dolby Atmos support and several other features. This follows the release of the Q910B soundbar in 2022. The announcement of the new soundbars comes on the eve of CES 2023.

Samsung HW-S800B Dolby Atmos Soundbar

The Samsung HW-Q990C packs two back speakers and a wireless subwoofer. It is a flagship model and the Samsung Q-Symphony 3.0 further accentuates its premium capability. The Q-Symphony can precisely direct individual audio elements through the soundbar and TV speakers. The Q-Symphony uses up to 22 audio channels together with a TV CPU.

Samsung says the soundbar can automatically match acoustically with Samsung TVs for optimal performance. Surround sound is captured by the display speaker while the soundbar handles conversation.

Some other features of the HW-Q990C are the SpaceFit calibration and AI. The SpaceFit calibration helps to adjust the TV sound for your home theatre or living room. The nighttime mode controls the loudness while Adaptive Sound 2.0 helps to optimize the audio. It also features Game Pro 2.0 with adjustable settings for various music genres. The soundbar also has SmartThings app compatibility.

Samsung HW-S800B Dolby Atmos Soundbar

The Samsung HW-S800B supports wireless Dolby Atmos and has an ultra-slim design. There are three channels, one subwoofer, and two up-firing channels. It also has Q-Symphony functionality for connection to Samsung TVs and soundbars. Samsung SpaceFit, Game Pro mode, 3D audio, and Alexa support are also featured in the soundbar.

Samsung HW-S800B Dolby Atmos Soundbar

The Samsung HW-S800B soundbar is priced at $899 and can be purchased directly via the Samsung website. However, the HW-Q990C soundbar’s price is not yet known. More details about the two soundbars could surface during CES 2023 which begins on January 5 in Los Angeles.
