At the CES 2023 event, a slew of new items and technologies will be unveiled. Every brand has launched something on its own, each with its own unique innovations. TCL is also among them. They unveiled the company’s first AR Eyewear at the event, which will be formerly known as the TCL RayNeo X2. TCL is one of the most well-known technology brands, best known for producing televisions. The brand has now moved into a new category. Let’s see how well they do with this first-generation AR product.

TCL

While TCL used to attend CES with only prototypes, it finally arrived with consumer products. TCL is trying to broaden its horizons by presenting its first AR glasses, the RayNeo X2, at CES 2023. The glasses are driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 CPU with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The RayNeo X2 appears to be a semi-normal pair of glasses, but it has full-colour micro-LED displays in each lens with a brightness of up to 1,000 nits. The glasses also include a 16MP camera capable of recording 1080p video and snapping photos.

The brand has also included dual speakers as well as built-in sensors such as a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and pressure sensor. TCL says it can do things like access a digital assistant, display on-screen navigation directions and conduct translations on the fly, among other things. While all of this sounds nice, it’s worth noting that TCL isn’t really delivering the product with this announcement. They may announce the pricing and availability details of the gadget later. The gadget will be first released to the developers in Q1 of 2023 of testing, of course.
