Earlier today (17th January 2023), Honor signed an official agreement with AutoNavi that enters both firms into a strategic partnership in China. This cooperation will have both companies share technologies and research and development efforts into various fields. So here are all the details.
The Chinese smartphone maker along with AutoNavi announced the joint cooperation that will work in the fields of smart travel services, smart life services, indoor navigation, and wearable navigation technology as well. In other words, the partnership will bring a new series of smart services that will seek to offer an improved user experience across different technologies. So now, Honor will be gain access to Gaode Map, which will help improve predication and learning capabilities of Honor’s AI.
According to Dong Zhenning, Vice President of AutoNavi Maps, Honor smart Service products that will now be equipped with Honor Magic Live platform level AI and AutoNavi Maps location service based capabilities. Similarly, Deng Bin, Honor President of R&D Management, the new cooperation will seek to improve on MagicOS’ four core technologies. This includes innovation, co-creation with partners, promote development of smart services, and maintain a level of openness.
