A bunch of Sony smartphones, including the Xperia 5 IV, Xperia 1 III, Xperia 5 III, and Xperia Pro-I, received the Android 13 update last month. In the latest development, the Japanese company is rolling out the new software update to the Xperia 10 IV, which debuted in June 2022. The release is currently limited to Southeast Asia but should extend to other regions pretty soon. Here are the details.

The Android 13 update for the mid-range device Xperia 10 IV is being released with the build number 65.1.A.4.8. It is currently rolling out for the dual-SIM variant of the smartphone with model number XQ-CC72 in Southeast Asia. The update brings all the new features that big G introduced with the latest version of Android, along with the Android security patches for December 2022.

Xperia 10 IV users living in Southeast Asia should get the OTA update notification for the stable Android 13 release soon. One can manually check for the update by going to the Software update section in the settings.

Android 13 comes with many visual changes, offering more theme, color, and icon customization options. It updates digital well-being and security features. The new update gives users the ability to set different languages for different apps and manage app permissions more effectively.

To recall, Sony Xperia 10 IV debuted as a mid-range smartphone with a 6-inch OLED display that offers a 1080 x 2520-pixel resolution. It packs a Snapdragon 695 SoC under the hood with 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

There’s a triple rear camera setup on the back, comprising a 12MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP telephoto sensor. On the front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera. The Sony smartphone draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 21W fast charging.
