The design of the strap was inspired by the production process of mosaics and it is meant to be a new expression of the traditional style. In addition to the new strap, Apple has also released a matching Unity mosaic dial for the Apple Watch. The dial is composed of green, black, red, and yellow geometric figures. As time changes, each number will borrow the graphics of other numbers and become a new form. The matching Unity 2023 dial will be launched next week and will be compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 and later models running watchOS 9.3, and iPhone SE (second generation) or subsequent models running iOS 16.3.
Apple has a tradition of releasing a Black Unity strap at the beginning of each year in honor of Black History Month, and this year is no exception.
