Chinese electronics giant Hisense has launched a new laser projector for the global market. The Hisense PL1 ultra-short throw projector is a cutting-edge device that allows you to create a large-scale, immersive viewing experience in your own home. With its 4K UHD resolution and screen size of up to 120 inches, the PL1 offers an unparalleled level of detail and clarity, making it perfect for watching movies, playing video games, or even giving presentations.
One of the standout features of the PL1 is its DLP laser light source, which is capable of producing up to 2,100 lumens of brightness. This means that even in well-lit rooms, the PL1 can produce clear and vibrant images that are easy to see. Additionally, with a 25,000-hour lifespan, the PL1 is built to last, and you won’t have to worry about replacing the lamp anytime soon.
The PL1 is also equipped with a quad-core processor with MEMC motion smoothing technology. This means that it can smooth out any motion artifacts or judder that may occur when watching fast-paced content, resulting in a smoother and more enjoyable viewing experience. Additionally, the PL1 supports Dolby Atmos and has two built-in 15W speakers, which provide a powerful and immersive audio experience.
The PL1 runs on the VIDAA U 6.0 operating system, which allows you to easily stream content from popular providers such as Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube. You can also connect other devices to the PL1 via its HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0, and USB 3.0 ports, making it easy to play games or watch content from your gaming console, Blu-ray player, or other devices.
In terms of design, the PL1 measures 53.1 x 33.5 x 12.0 cm and weighs 8.5 kg. This makes it compact and lightweight enough to be easily moved around your home, but still substantial enough to feel sturdy and well-built. The projector is now available in the UK from Visunext and other EU stores such as Darty and MediaWorld at a discounted price of €2,299. But it is expected to retail for €2,699 in the future.
