OnePlus is apparently working on a new Android tablet model. We have already covered some reports regarding the companies upcoming tablet. Now, a new report suggests that the OnePlus Pad has also entered into private testing.

It appears that the Chinese smartphone maker is following the route of other Chinese brands like Realme, Oppo, Redmi, and Xiaomi. All of these companies have their own large screened offerings, and now it appears that OnePlus also has a similar plan. We had previously reported on the brand trademarking the OnePlus Pad moniker, while also seeing a delayed launch. Another report had also claimed that it has an internal codename of Reeves.

Although this time around, a new report has suggested that the company has began private testing for this tablet ahead of its official announcement. But the report claims that the device has the codename of ‘Aries.’ The testing phase is reportedly being carried out in India, so it means that the Indian launch might be just around the corner. Although sources haven’t confirmed whether the tablet will be called the OnePlus Pad or OnePlus Tab.

As of right now, finer details regarding this device is still at large. So we have no idea what kind of specs and features it might launch with. Although, Oppo recently launched the Pad Air in India for under 20,000 INR with a tall 7.1 inch 2K IPS LCD panel and a large 7,100mAh battery pack. Under the hood, the tablet was also equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. Meaning, OnePlus might also opt for such features for around a similar price tag.
