Acefast, a brand based in Shenzhen, China, that specialises in making high-end accessories, sent us one of its earbuds, the Crystal T6 TWS earbuds. Some of the highlights of the TWS earbuds include a transparent design, an LED digital display, ENC support, an IPX4 rating, and multiple color options to choose from. I and my wife have used T6 TWS earbuds for a couple of weeks, and here are my first impressions about Crystal T6.

Acefast Crystal T6 Earbuds: What’s in the box?

The Acefast Crystal T6 earbuds’s retail box includes the following items:

  • Acefast Crystal T6 earbuds with charging case
  • Silicon cover
  • Eartips (small / medium / large)
  • USB-A to USB-C cable
  • User manual

Design and Comfort

Apart from the Youth Green variant that the brand sent me, the Acefast Crystal T6 TWS earbuds come in multiple colors like Ice Blue, Modern Grey, Pink Lotus, and Sapphire Blue. What makes the T6 attractive in terms of design are its transparent case and its LED battery level indicator. The bottom side of the case features a USB-C port.

The left and right earbuds can be simply taken out of the case from the front. A charging indicator can be seen below the battery level indicator. The earbuds sit flush inside the case and do not come out of it. Each earbud weighs around 3.5 grams. The total weight of the device is 39.5 grams. It’s protected against water splashes as it offers IPX4 water resistance.

When it comes to earbuds, their inner side features charging contacts. Both earbuds have a pair of microphones (one at the top and one on the underside). Both earbuds have a multi-functional touch button on the top surface that can be tapped to adjust volume, play or pause music, move to the next or previous song, and activate the voice assistant. Both earbuds have an indicator, which glows when the earbuds are placed inside the case. My wife used the earbuds on a daily basis for a couple of weeks, and she found them comfortable to be worn for a few hours at a stretch.

To protect the uniquely designed earbuds, Acefast offers a silicone cover to safeguard it from scratches. There is a loop on the top of the cover, which can be used to hook it up to a bag or a key chain. The company’s logo can be seen on the backside of the case.

Connectivity and Controls

With Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity onboard, the Acefast Crystal T6 can be paired with iOS and Android devices. In order to connect, one needs to turn on Bluetooth on a smartphone, search for Acefast Crystal T6, and then connect to it. Here is how the touch controls on each earbud work.

Now, coming to the LED digital display available on the charging case, when the earbuds are placed inside the case, it shows the battery percentage. When it is kept for charging, the percentage gradually increases. It shows an “OK” message when the case is fully charged.

Above the battery percentage, one can see the letter “L” with four bars and the letter “R” with four bars. These show the battery level of each earbud. It will show one bar if the battery is between 0 and 25 percent. It will display two bars when the battery level is between 26 and 50 percent. It will show three bars when the battery is between 51 and 75 percent. Lastly, four bars will be displayed when the battery is between 76 and 100 percent.

Sound Output and Battery Life

The Crystal T6 is equipped with 6mm titanium audio drivers, which feature a dome composite membrane with a moving coil. It offers a good amount of bass and crisp audio. The earbuds support SBC and AAC codecs and offer low latency.

Thanks to the inclusion of four microphones, the T6’s Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) features for calls do a decent job of cutting external noise so that the recipient can clearly hear your voice on a phone call. There is no support for ANC on the Crystal T6.

The Acefast Crystal T6 packs a 500mAh battery, which takes around 2 hours to achieve a full charge. Each earbud houses a 40mAh battery. The earbuds provide around 4 hours of music playback time when the volume is set at 70 percent, according to the company. With the charging case, the Crystal T6 can last for up to 20 hours. It comes with support for fast charging, too. Charging it only for 10 minutes will allow users to enjoy music on it for up to 1.5 hours.
