Realme has already updated a sizable number of its smartphones with stable Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 and many devices are on the beta build as well. The latest handset to get the software treat is the Realme GT Neo2, which was announced back in 2021. The update is currently being seeded in China but could extend to other regions soon. Here are the details.
Late in December 2022, Realme started the open beta program for GT Neo2 in the global market, allowing users to get an early taste of the Realme UI 4.0 ahead of the stable release. Now, after more than a month of beta testing, the company has started rolling out the final build of the Android 13 update. As mentioned, the rollout is currently limited to the Chinese market.

Realme UI 4.0 brings several new changes with itself. It adds a new aquatic theme and more vibrant colors to enhance the overall user experience. It promises seamless connectivity with multiple devices and improved security and privacy. The performance and gaming experience have also been optimized.
To recall, Realme GT Neo2 debuted in 2021 and is expected to receive only two major OS updates. It came running Android 11 out of the box and has already received the Android 12 update, so Android 13 is probably its last big update. It will continue to receive security updates.
The GT Neo2 packs a 6.62 inches AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The smartphone gets a triple camera setup on the back, headlined by a 64 MP primary sensor.
