Huawei has recently begun testing the HarmonyOS 3.1 operating system in its P50 series, and early reports indicate that the new OS comes with some impressive changes to system animations. According to a HarmonyOS 3.1 developer beta tester, the new animations have been improved for various parts of the user interface, including the notification center and service widget combos.

One of the most significant changes is the relocation of the clock to the top left side of the status bar, which animates and blends seamlessly with the large clock of the animation bar. The animation shows this transformation in real-time, making it a more interactive experience. Huawei could further optimize the status bar clock for devices with different types of notches.

In addition to these changes, the widget combo shape selection also features a new animation that is more realistic and interactive compared to the previous HarmonyOS 3.0.

These are some of the tweaks that have surfaced now. The beta build will have many more changes and tweaks with the upcoming testing phase. You can check out the video here.
