MWC (Mobile World Congress) is a major conference where various tech brands showcase their latest innovations and even prototypes for future products. And now, a new report has suggested that Huawei will also be making a big announcement. The company will apparently be taking the stage to unveil its next generation of flagship smartphones.

As per recent rumors, the Chinese tech giant plans to announce the new P60 series during the ongoing MWC 2023 event. For those unaware, the major event has many OEMs take spotlight with innovative and impressive technology. But ever since the US sanctions, Huawei had scaled down its reveals, especially for the smartphone category. However, it appears that the company will be making a notable announcement in Barcelona this time around. The new report claims that the Huawei P60 series will be unveiled at MWC 2023.

The company’s P series is typically a series of premium phones that offer great cameras with high end hardware and design. Some of the P series model were even ranking leaders in DxOMark. The P60 models is expected to feature Huawei’s own XMAGE photography platform, similar to the Mate 50 series that launched last year. Based on what we know so far, the P60 Pro will be the first device to feature the 50MP Sony IMX888 primary sensor that is paired with a 50MP Sony IMX858 ultra wide angle sensor.

The third and last camera is expected to be a telephoto shooter that is a 64MP OV64B Omnivision sensor that offers 3.5x optical zoom. Apart from this, the P60 Pro will likely feature Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC as well while the base model could feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The rumor has also added that the company could be revealing this series on March 2. Although, the company has yet to confirm this matter. So stick around for more updates.
