Huawei is set to launch XMAGE 2.0 with the highly anticipated Huawei P60 series later this month. XMAGE was first introduced with the Mate 50 series and is Huawei’s proprietary imaging solution for their flagship devices. The XMAGE system is built upon four imaging systems: Optical system, mechanical structure, imaging technology, and image processing.
According to Weibo tipster Classmateguan, the Huawei P60 series will feature new imaging capabilities with XMAGE 2.0. While there is no information yet on the quality enhancement that XMAGE 2.0 will bring, it is certain that users can expect new photographic capabilities.
One of the key features of XMAGE is the super-optical variable camera, which was first introduced with the Mate 50 series. The camera uses XMAGE technology with a variable aperture that can achieve a ten-stop adjustable aperture at the physical level, making it a technological breakthrough in three optical systems. Additionally, XMAGE brings new color enhancements suitable for various real-time photography scenarios.
The Huawei P60 series will also feature variable aperture hardware, which will further improve image quality. According to the tipster, the P60 series will come in three models, the P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Ultra, with the latter two packing high-end specs, especially in the camera section.
